On this outing we were hangin’ with grandpops. I didn’t keep track of lots of details but we sure had a great day. You just can’t beat warm, red rocks in February. .

From Monticello, it took us about 1 hour to drive to the Canyonlands visitor center. One we left the Elephant Hill trailhead we hiked for about 2 1/2 hours (out and back). This was a beautiful area and I would love to backpack out here. Or car camp in the campground that is right close by and do a long day hike in further than we had time for on this outing.
